The ISAGA (International Simulation and Gaming Association) summer school offers participants the opportunity to learn about the design and use of simulations and games to support amongst others learning, decision taking, policy design, and change management. Experts from all over the world will contribute to the summer school with interactive sessions on game design.
The ISAGA summer school will be held on 18-23 August 2014, hosted by Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. This year’s scope will be on Governance and Participation: how can we design and use games that engage citizens and organisations in relieving today’s Grand Challenges to society? In a week of learning and doing, participants will be introduced to game design from various academic and practical points of view. They will explore in a very interactive and intensive week to recognize and apply the basics of game design, game development, game facilitation, and game evaluation. Participants of the ISAGA Summer school will discuss different game design approaches and apply them hands-on in a game design project. Finally, there will be room for social activities to meet with the game design community and other people interested in this topic.
